Idolatry in Philippines October 2019 By rpedit | October 8, 2019 | Comments Off on Idolatry in Philippines October 2019 We saw this picture in a hotel in Ilo Ilo this week. The little statue with white face, curly hair and a crown is Santo Nino. People all over the Philippines reverence him. There are statues of him in restaurants, homes and businesses. As an American it is hard for me to grasp the idea of bowing down or praying to a statue. It reminds me of why we are here in Philippines and what the Lord has done for me. 1 Thessalonians 1:9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.
